Thank you for this great idea to keep my soon to be middle schooler active on their reading and writing. I will definately add this to my online binder for middle school summer review material. I’ve been searching online for free material that my kids can work on a couple of times a week over the summer. Thanks again:

Tina, thanks for posting. There are some other great summer review ideas in your online binder. I encourage our students and parents to take a look.

I’m doing the summer reading challenge and I just read a book called snail mail. I think it is a really good book for 5th grade girls and up. I’m in 6th grade but I still liked it.

I think this is a wonderful idea to have a summer reading challenge because it gets kids to read during the summer. I just finished reading Schooled, (a sunshine state book for next year), and it was absolutely hilarious! Everyone should read it!

Hi Mrs. Hanson! The libraries look great! I can see that you have been working hard this summer to make reading fun for our students. I have read several great books this summer. I read a book by a particular author and then I tried another one of her books and another and another! I think I read about 5 books for pleasure and since I took some online classes, I did A LOT of reading about kids and reading! Looking forward to another fantastic year and getting kids plugged in to reading!!!

Hi Mrs. Hanson! I read 14 books and they were all very good! We sorted our bookshelf this summer and I found books that I did not know we had. I really wanted to read them all. I found my favorite book !
